Goodbye to Vaping

I knew from the start of this relationship I wanted it to end. But no, you worked your way into my brain and told me the only thing that could relieve my stress was you.  I hate the lies I keep telling myself…I’ll quit when this vape is done, I’ll quit to

Motivated to try harder this time

Hello, I am preparing to quit smoking. I set my quit date for August 11.

It's a bit far out, but my partner (non-smoker) has a procedure on the 8th where he will be put under anesthesia, and I know I'll be extremely stressed until I know he's safe.

Of all the abusive situations I’ve been in

This is my goodbye letter to cigarettes.

Of all the abusive relationships I’ve been embroiled in, you, American Spirit Black, have been the most one-sided. You take and take and take while giving me only momentary pleasure that comes at the most grave of

I was doing so good this morning. I didn’t touch my vape. Didn’t even look for it. I did put it in my purse & took it with me as I’m in the process of learning my triggers. Getting close to my quit date. I did so good focused on drinking water instead of

Goodbye Letter

Goodbye vapes!

It's been fun, all your candy flavors and pretty colors, but I need to do this for me and my family. I am embarrassed to even have this addiction, and I want to move forward. I want to see a future without vaping. I know it will be hard, I'v

Working through the anticipation

I will be cigarette-free this Saturday.  At the end of typing that sentence, I took the biggest breath and I'm not sure if it was out of conviction or fear.

My tools are arriving (thank you Amazon) and I've told a few important people about my plan and qui

I refuse to need you anymore.

I found you right before graduating high school. I walked into the shop, asked for the elegant, sleek red little stick, and walked back to my car. I raised you to my lips and was surprised by the flavor, a dead-ringer for watermelon chewing gum, but quick

It’s not you, it’s me. You are who you are and who you’ve always been. Toxic yet addictive. Simultaneously disgusting and delightful. It is I who have changed. I simply have no room for you in my world anymore. You somehow always seemed
