Share your quitting journey
Hello all! 👋
I decided today that I want to be in control of what goes into my body and reduce as many harmful substances as possible. I set a quit day and by God I will stick to it. I was a cigarette smoker for 20 years and moved over to vaping thinking it’s a bit better or less harmful. Funny how we trick ourselves, no? I’ve been dealing with a chronic autoimmune disease for over a decade now and I finally decided to listen to my body which is screaming at me (very painfully I might add) to stop poisoning myself. This includes substances like nicotine, gross food, self sabotaging thoughts, etc.
I am literally in the “ok, let’s do this” phase but already feeling pumped. Not looking forward to the withdrawals but I will get on a patch to help reduce those symptoms till I am free of this beast. I will keep reminding myself that I was born not needing nicotine and I will die after many many years of not needing it anymore.
I wish everyone a safe and fruitful journey to take back our bodies.
peace, love and kindness to all.
