ok this is the second day i did not buy none so i save 20 bucks but man i can't stop couing i been drinking lots of water to.

thats right keep sucking that water down. I drank so much i sloshed at first lol. It does help.. Peppermints helped me also. Hang in there and keep a positive mind set ruthie. 2 days! thats awesome! stay strong and have a great smoke free evening

Ruthie - that is great! Are you putting the $$ in a jar? I saved mine up and later treated myself to a beach trip and a pair of diamond stud earrings (at my one year mark!) It pays in more than one way to quit. The best part for me was how much more in control of myself I felt. It (the nicotine) didn't run my life anymore. I did!

You are doing this - one day at a time. good for you! I don't know if you have any of these but I know they will be helpful!

I never coughed, but I think the junk is tryin to come up, so invite it as a healing process. water.lots of it. rest. and I love the peppermint idea too, inhale slowly while you suck on a peppermint, feel how nice it is 🙂

You're doing great, Ruthie. Money is a big incentive for me. I hate paying to poison myself. Duh? I'm on day 3. Nice to have people on here in various stages of recovery. I was hacking horrible befiore I quit. Mall clots of white mucus coming up. It shocked me. I had trouble even finishing a sentence sometimes without hacking and people were looking alarmed. Now the cough has disappeared completely. I am grateful my body was giving me warning signs and that I was smart enough to care.
