Trying….

My quit date is supposed to be October 31.  I started quitting because when I went to buy my regular chewing tobacco, they were out and my brother had told me about these spitless pouches. So I bought a can of those. He then told me they come in different dosages in order to back off the nicotine and eventually quit. Quitting had been in the back of my mind for a while, but I hadn’t actually tried. I enjoyed the pouches and the fact that I didn’t have to spit, I could use them in front of people without them knowing, and I could reduce my dosage. One day a couple weeks ago, I didn’t use a pouch until 10am. Used to it was about 5:30am. That day, I only used 3 of the 3mg pouches all day. At 10,2,&6. So I decided for the rest of the week I’d do 3x day of 3mg, then go to 2x day of 2mg for a week, then 1x day for a week and be done by the end of October. A couple of different snags happened. First, when my mom visited for a weekend, I was very anxious and felt edgy and I didn’t want to be bitchy, so I used more than 3x day. Then, when I went to buy a new cam and get back on track, they only had velo in 7mg. So always I went back up on dosage. Then at work one thing after another kept happening and I felt I needed more to keep my sanity and my job. I had to buy another can yesterday and they had zyn, but only 6mg. So idk if I can quit by October 31 and I’m bummed. Going out of town to relax at the deer lease this weekend with hubby. But next weekend I’m flying to Florida with my mom for my daughter’s 21st bday. I’m nervous about over using again. I’m on track to only use 3 today, but we have an 8 hour drive ahead of us, so who knows what will happen…. How do I get my mind right and get back on track. I’ll be 45 on Nov 10. Maybe new quit date of Nov 9? Tobacco and nicotine free at 45? Idk…
