I have a little girl, she is only 5, and I found out a year ago I have COPD. She needs me to be here on earth longer, and while I am here, to have a healthier more active lifestyle. She is a very active little girl. I am going through a divorce, and things aren't exactly stress free around here, but I am sticking to my quit date: August 1st. 12 days to go !!
I am going to start tomorrow putting off each cigarette, and trying to find out what helps me through the cravings. (thanks to Storm for that advice). I was in the ER twice in the last two weeks, for an upper respiratory infection turned into bronchitis. I am FINALLY after two weeks starting to feel better. My little girl has been miserable. I haven't been able to take her out to play, to the park, to the pool, to the zoo. She has been playing video games and watching tv. This is her summer. I have to quit. I don't want to feel this guilty for getting sick ever again, and I don't want to feel this sick ever again either.
I know I can do this. I can quit. I want to be healthy again, and not under the control of cigarettes. They cost so much, and they are killing me. I just want to get this quit overwith and never ever smoke again.
