Quit day is here!

Well, I am fixin' to go to bed and am going to have the last cigarette of my life.  No more going outside in the cold/heat, no more leaving campus on break and getting into a cold/hot car to drive across the street, no more excusing myself from others so that I can have a smoke.  I'm not going to miss it.  Cigarettes are no friend of mine.

I have asked that my husband (who gets up before I do) throw away all of the makeshift ashtrays (I never bought one in 15 years of this habit), and my lighters. He is all too ready to do this for me.

I have read so many blogs and seen so many count up clocks and it makes me proud of you all. I hope to learn how to add a count up clock because just seeing that is a motivator for me.

Well, for now, I will go outside onto the porch for the last time and going to hit the hay.  Sweet dreams, my EXes!

Congratulations on your Quit of a lifetime! You can do this. Drink plenty of water, take deep breaths, keep a good attitude, come here and blog, comment, ask questions. Just don't smoke.  You are relearning life as a non-smoker. You will never be regret doing the healthiest thing you could do for you! Have a wonderful day.

You CAN do this.  We can help!  Remember to not entertain that smoking thought ---- Distract, Distract, Distract - do whatever works for you.  Each crave you get through is a notch on your belt and will give you more and more confidence to get through the others as they come.  The first two weeks are the most uncomfortable and then it does get easier, I promise!

We are all behind you, cheering you on!

Click on my picture and you will be on my page ---------->

click www.wishafriend.com/countup/ - Once there it will give you different options for background images for your clock, select the COUNT UP CLOCK that you like, then it will have you type in the date of your quit, and the time of day and event message, which can be "Since I quit smoking" or whatever you want to put then click to get the code - Once you do that, it will give you a code to copy and paste, which will be the one in the box under Embed Code: Copy and (highlight and right click) - Go to your profile, click "edit profile" and enter the code into any of the areas, such as Brief Description, About Me, but not message board. Then Save that and there ya go!! Hope that works. PS. If you get 2 clocks it's okay...we can fix that tommorrow. IT always takes a few tries, don't smoke over it....Nancy
