Hi to my fellow quitters, I did some more research about the effects of stopping smoking and I was happy to see that everything that's been going on with me is normal. All of it, even the leg cramps. The scratchy throat, cough, fatigue, headaches, light headedness, disorientation, feeling like I'm not sleeping, all of it. It's just my body healing itself. I personally like to know what to expect and don't like too many surprises. I also don't want people to lie to me or minimize what I can expect. But that's me.
I have also chosen to quit smoking with Nicorette gum and have read all the research on how I have a greater chance of staying quit with an NRT or medication. But that's also my opinion. I do have a plan to go off the Nicorette also. That's a drawback that I'll have to live with.
At 9p.m. tonight I will be at 21 days. My decision to QUIT and all of the support and prayers of you wonderful people and my family and co-workers helped me get this far. I will continue my journey, in my own way, along side you.
