I have stumbled

Oh my, I have stumbled.  I smoked a cigarette just about 30 minutes ago...I am so not sure what I am feeling?  Guilty yes, failure yes, defeated yes, and very very very regretful.  I am asking myself why I did it an no excuse is even plausable.  Had very stressful news and did not take it well.  I had been quit for over 3 months and threw this away because of this news.  It did not even change anything but bring me more grief for what I have done.

Now, it is time to start over.  I do not wish to become a smoker again and I will not!!!  Thanks for listening and I am sorry for my slip.  Please forgive me as I am going to forgive myself.  I am going to keep my quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are those unfortunate individuals who will smoke again,  it's not that they don't get it. they simply are not ready to QUIT. And these are the individuals who need our help the most. We can't be  caught up in our own smoke free world. where we forget that we once struggled and maybe decided to QUIT but we fought our way through  the smoke. We are all just a puff away from relapse. Lets be informative to the person who ADMITTED that he or she smoked.  Tell them how you QUIT and how you are maintaining your smoke free life.  Remember It's not how many days you got but how far you have come.  CHEW  GUM SUGARLESS. GOD BLESS US ALL

Shelly, start from here, no more smoking.  Make a decision to spend time reading blogs and whyquit.com for understanding of the addiction and how just one puff can sneak up on you.  You don't have to go back to smoking, that is a choice and so is getting back on the wagon.  We're here, use us more often.  Let us know how you're doing, we care.

There is no reason to ask for forgivness, it's something that happened and probably to most folks on here at one time or another.  I'm glad to see that you have the guts to start over, many would  just pretend they never smoked. GOOD FOR YOU !

I do have a question, you might be able to keep me or others from smoking.  How did you get the cigarette?  Were they already in your house or did you go out and buy some.  If you went out, there had to be some time to stop and think about what you were about to do, if they were in the house, why were they there?  Help us out so we don't make the same mistake.  Now get on with your quit, you can do it.

Hello everyone!  Thank you so much for your support!  I have not smoked anymore since my stumble and do not plan too either.  I'm not sure if I got to cocky in my quit?  I haven't been on this site for some time.  I need and will continue my quit and visit more often here.  I am so much more happier being a nonsmoker.  I CAN BREATHE!!!!!!  I do not want to give that up!  My fusion in my neck is almost healed and I am actually exercising again.  The free time that I have now from not smoking has been spent with my son...bike rides, playing wii fit, and so much more.....   I am not going to give all of this up, just for cigarettes!!!!!  I have stumbled.....but I have not FALLEN.......I am back on my two feet and ready to march forward.........yesterday is over.........today is here and I am not going to quit my quit!!!!!!!!

sfaoro...I went over to my neighbors house and got a cigarette from her.  I realize that I had time to stop and think about this, but I chose not too and not sure why, (that is why I think I got cocky in my quit,  like hey it has been over 3 months, I will be fine...hahahahaha...the addiction really showed me)  So  no cigarettes in the house and if your neighbor smokes, tell them from the begining not to give you any!!!!!!        Best of Luck to you!

Thank you again for all your support.....this is just what I needed!!!!
