Be sure when you find a group that it is active.  You can look for the time stamp on the last entry to see.  I am not sure there are many that are truly active, but responding to one might reawaken it if the folks interested are still around.

About the Author
I have been in recovery for eight years from substance abuse (Alcohol& Drugs). I changed my life in 2013 after my sister passed from Brain Cancer. I gave myself time to heal and practice self-care for two years before, I even started the process of living again. I gradually started applying myself to programs to help me with my educational needs. Alcohol played a big part in my life and hinder my ability to finish school. I went back to school in 2016 and earned my High School Diploma. I also found resources in Denver to help me build my education in, Addiction Counseling. I trained for three years, and because of my history with substance abuse, I was placed on stipulations for two years and successfully completed Peer Assistance Services with never missing any requirements. April 2, 2020, I was discharged. My stipulations were with, the State of Colorado -Department of Regulatory Agencies( not the penal system). I am licensed with the State of Colorado as an Addiction Technician / Unlicensed Psychotherapist. I am continuing my education in Addiction and just been accepted to Metropolitain State to earn my Bachelor's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I also will be taking the NCACII in February to higher my credentials as an Addiction Specialist(CACII).l've Denver all my life, and never had any children. I am the widow of a veteran who passed ten years ago from his addiction to alcohol. I continue to practice self-care daily and this why I feel a strong need to stop smoking. My goal is to end this horrible habit of smoking on January 20, 2021. I've completed everything else that makes me shine every day. My sobriety from Alcohol and Drugs is everything to me. I stand strong in my boundaries, and I say no to any toxic relationships or conversations.
