Today is my 16th month without a cigarette and I can't be any happier. I can't believe that it had been a year and four months already. Although I had a slight craving for a cigarette sunday night, I feel great. And me and my group went to Golden Corral for lunch today. I feel like celebrating but I can't drink or eat cake or ice cream because of my diabetes. But It does feel good to think about those things for a few minutes. I'm going to visit Roy tonight for awhile to see how he's doing, I have to put up with his cigarette smoke. I know, I know, Its a bad thing. But I have tools to help me through the tough times. And each time, I don't even want a cigarette and I don't allow any smoking in my apartment. My sister said that she might be going to Tulsa to get the stuff to get her hair done, I will see If I can go with her so I can get the stuff to get me a new hair do. You know, when it's time to get my hair done again. Roy said that he wants to quit smoking and drinking and I hope that he does and when he's ready, I will help him quit smoking and drinking. I know that I can help him quit smoking, I don't know If I can help him quit drinking. The drinking part will be a hard one for me because his family drinks. He's going to have a house guess stay with him for a week and I don't like it one bit. It's going to be another woman and I'm not happy about it. I know that she needs help and I understand that but I just don't like the idea. Anyway, On the other hand, maybe she can help him quit drinking, it's still a bad idea. Anyway, I'm glad I quit smoking and I don't drink anymore either so thats the best of both worlds. I don't have to go to the hospital anymore because of my breathing, now if I have to go, it will be because of my diabetes instead. As for my friend, I'm not going to worry if she quit or not anymore, when she's ready to quit she will quit on her own like I did. She wants to use me for support, But how can you support somebody who is not ready to quit? It said on the back of the quit smoking booklet that 1800-quit-now had send that the best way to stay quit is to help someone else quit. But what if they don't want to quit? There was I lady who lived in the same apartments as me and she asked if I had $5.00,  she told me that she didn't have food to eat and that she didn't eat for a few days. Which I felt bad for her for that, them she told me that she hadn't had a cigarette in 3 days(or was it two days)?. Any I didn't feel bad that she didn't have her nicotine fix but I gave her $5.00 to get something to eat. She said she would give it back to me and I haven't got it back from her. Now  she is facing 25 years to life for drugs and I don't know what all she's going to get for speeding with no license.
