Allow me to start out by saying that I am 48 yrs old and been smoking since I was approx. 12yrs old. My parents knew that I smoked and didn't seem to care. In fact, my father would buy extra cigs to accommadate my desire. He only asked that I pay for them. Thanks Dad. Thanks Mom ( for not stopping him). Sometimes, like my birthday, Dad would give me a whole carton as a present. He would even wrap them in pretty paper and bows. Thanks Dad. Thanks Mom ( for not stopping him.) And thanks to the two of you to allow it to continue. As I grew into my twenties, I found out that a couple of my sibs had tried to smoke and that Dad punished them and Mom never said a word. To this date they don't smoke. Thanks Dad (for stopping them) and thanks Mom( for not stopping him). Now I'm 48, been diagnosed with COPD and chronic pneuomonia. I have tried to quit a few times without success. I am very hopeful that I will succeed this time. I really need the support from people that truly understand. I have placed my quit date for September 1st, 2010. To those that have already quit, congratulations. Those who are trying to quit I commend you. Good Luck and happy breathing. Lori (aka- TicToc)
