Great Blog, Jules! One of my all time favorites...... "Living for God's Approval is better than Living for Man's Applause" also, "If you stand for nothing...you'll fall for anything" God Bless......
My favorite saying is " What you do today may burn your a** tomarrow" I think of this in a positive way. Think before you leap or speak. Keeps me from doing/saying things I shouldn't.
Here's a few sayings for ya! "I'm as sweet as cotton candy!" "I'm as fine as frog's hair!" "Everyday is Christmas to me!" "Say what you mean and mean what you say!" There ya have it!!
RIGHT ON JULES! It's what you think about you that is important! Anymore, I don't give people free rent space in my head if they are rude, mean or disrespectful. Life is too short to allow others to put us down. Instead, I choose to stick with the winners, which helps me to continually learn and grow!! We are all beautifully unique individuals. It's just how we choose to live that makes us who we are do to the free will that our Creator has given us!! Great post kiddo!
I like the last one Polly! That is one of my favorites too! Here are a couple of my favorites: "Look upon the donut and not through the hole" " In every dark cloud there is a silver lining" "This too Shall Pass" " Throw your burdens on God himself and He himself shall sustain you" "Whomsoever shall compel ye to go a mile.....go with him two" "There is a pendulum to all life and the sweat you deliver, will swing back tomorrow tenfold"
"Consider a painting by Rembrandt or a bronze by Degas or a violin by Stadivarius or a play by Shakespeare. They have great value for two reasons: their creators were masters and they were few in number. Yet there were more than one of each of these. On that reasoning, you are the most valuable treasure on the face of the earth, for you know who created you and there is only one of you. You are the rarest thing in the world."
"One door doesn't close without another opening" has always helped me. My Mom was famous for the "This too shall pass" I also like “May God grant you always...A sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you. Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you.â€
Love them all! This kind of thing really helps me in every way in my life. And strong emotions, like anger at being judged, or frustration at a difficult situation, give me cravings. It is getting better but sometimes just saying to myself that "this too shall pass" gets me through the crave. I really like yours Peggy - one puff away from a pack a day. Amen!
-God doesn't give us anything we can't handle...I just wish he didn't trust me so much sometimes!!!! Love it. Good laugh for the day and is getting printed out for my wall of quotes in my office.
Only in America ......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.
There's another phrase - but it comes with a hand gesture. I have a friend, who, when she hears something she doesn't like... holds her hand up and says out loud, "I don't receive that!" and pushes her hand away. She, like me, believes that "thoughts become things". =D
Jules, you must have read my mind today! Thanks for re-posting this! -Thoughts become things...choose the good ones! -God doesn't give us anything we can't handle...I just wish he didn't trust me so much sometimes!!!! -Keep smiling...makes people wonder what you are up to!
Actually, it's a song from Sesame Street. Sometimes the silliest things make the most sense... "You gotta put down the duckie Put down the duckie Put down the duckie Gotta leave the duckie alone You gotta put down the duckie Put down the duckie Put down the duckie If you wanna play the saxophone." Gotta let go to make room for the new. Peace

Love it, absolutely love it... youv'e actually just reaffirmed something that I've had swimming around in my mind, so thank you for that! 🙂 Hope you're healthy and happy!
