Today I started noticing some positive changes that have come about because I quit smoking.
1) I can smell better. I was really looking forward to this one. I think I've missed out on a lot of simple scented pleasures in life because of smoking. For example, I was at the store today, shopping for linens, and the lady one aisle over had wonderful perfume on. I enjoyed smelling it. A week ago, I would never have noticed it...and she probably would have noticed my smoky stench instead!
2) I'm not as tired all the time. I was able to wake up feeling fairly refreshed this morning. Must be that whole oxygen thing...
I'm still struggling with wanting to eat all the time, and I still have urges to smoke. But I'm feeling better, and it's getting easier.
Tomorrow is one week.
