Day 2 and I kinda just wanna say UGH

Its like I have not only lost the smokes, but I have also lost my mind....I keep doing stupid things.....like yesterday I went grocery shopping....I swear when I got home and started unpacking things, I was looking at things I bought wondering why the heck I bought that....its like I was a zombie just grabbing stuff of the shelves....I have a horrible case of the dropsies....I'm dropping everying.....this morning I ran the coffee maker and forgot to put the coffee in, so I had a nice pot of hot water....I hope my mind comes back soon....and as I was typing this I thought I heard a noise...so I stopped typing to figure out what it was....it was the shower....yeah I turned the shower on about 15 min. ago planning to get in....and forgot.....WTH.....I've gone crazy!

LOL........I feel your pain!
I feel like I have lost half my brain cells.
I REALLY just wanted to stay in bed today. It`s so funny that the cravings don`t wake me up.I could sleep right through them! Why can`t I get through them when I`m awake?
Maybe I need to be sedated for a week or so and sleep through my quit! 🙂 Since thats not possible..here I go on day two!!

You are not alone! I've done those crazy things at least once since I've quit. I didn't think to attribute it to the quitting though. Oh, so now I have an excuse for those "blonde" moments? Ha, if I were honest, I did those things WAY before I quit smoking!! LOL. You just keep doing what you're doing and stay on this site. Reach out when you need help and vent when you need to. We are all here to help! YOU CAN DO THIS!

Good morning, and you can make it.
All you have to do is not smoke.
You will feel crazy, bad, and it will be hard to do anything.

Oh Charmed! I don't mean to make light of what you are going through but as I read your post, I got the giggles. I know EXACTLY how you are feeling! This morning I locked my keys in my apartment and had to call someone at work to come and get me. Where did my mind go?? I don't know!! All I can do at this point is laugh! Stay Strong! You can do it!!!

Oh yes indeed.....but remember the chemical shock to our systems not just from nicotine but all the other crap in those nasty little killers. Plus you don't have the level of carbon monoxide and raised blood pressure. Relearning life without smoking. JUST DO NOT SMOKE! IT IS NOT AN OPTION! NEVER AGAIN! SOON THE SUCKY PART ENDS AND YOU WILL BE RECOVERING! YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS! BELIEVE IN YOU BECAUSE WE ALL DO!
God Bless,
Jim

Y'all are reminding me of those ads for BecomeanEX where the woman is unable to figure out how to get in the car since she quit smoking or the man who can't figure out how to put his pants on...
I just attribute all that to "senior moments" - much as I hate to do that!

Hello, my name is Arlene and I have been smoke free for 15 days. I laughed when I read your comments because I had the brain fog too! It will pass and some of the anxiety will pass too. A little tip for you ~~~~~ switch to decaf because it helps relieve the anxiety that you are going through. I have no sense of taste or smell yet. I smoked 2 large packs a day for 42 years. My lungs were so compressed that even walking was a chore. Most of my time was spent looking for a place to have one. In Canada you cannot smoke anywhere. You will be fined if you are caught smoking in a non smoking place. You have to surrender and ask for help. Take control over the habit and do not let the habit control you. Decide to be free and ask for help from a higher power. The method I used was natural. One step at a time withdrawal filters from Georgia. I would highly recommend them. They worked for me! I was such a heavy smoker that people at work still cannot believe I quit and they watch me constantly to see if I am smoking. Get off the caffeine, it helps!
