Day 2

Made it through day 1, it wasn't as tough as I feared it would be. I did have urges, especially In the afternoon,

but I asked myself if a cigarette was going to make it any better and the answer was clearly NO! I spent alot of time on this site and on other sites educating myself. My fifteen year old daughter was happy  I made the decision to stop smoking(again). I have smoked her entire life minus a year and a half. I did it before, so I know I can do it again. Sending positive thoughts  out to everyone for a wonderful smoke-free day 🙂

Good job in getting through day 1.  For me the first week was the hardest, it will get easier though time.

Great that you asked the question if a cigarette was going to make things any better.  They never do.  The insanity of this addiction is that the cigarettes cause the stress, sadness, anger, and foggy-headedness we've thought that they will relieve.  We thought were getting our focus back by lighting up, but all we were doing was guaranteeing the next withdrawel.  And the cycle continues.  Congrats on breaking the cycle.  Cigs cause the pain, they don't make it better.

Keep it up! Stay busy and stick to your plan and you'll make it to day 2 - just address it one day at a time (or one hour at a time, if you gotta!)
