Today is Day 1 of my re-quit. After 41 years of smoking, I am tired of being out of breath, my hair and clothes reeking of smoke, late-night trips to the store for cigarettes, wasting money, coughing every morning, etc. I am using lozenges and the patch to manage cravings and urges.
Unlike other websites or apps, I like the philosophy of become an ex. The focus is on re-learning how to live your life without smoking. After 40+ years of smoking, I barely remember what life was like before I had a cigarette in my hand.
I joined this community for the additional encouragement and support of others and to gain information, tips, and insight.
My journey begins again. This time, I'm looking forward to the adventure.
