DOF 5 AGAIN

It’s already Day 5.  Had many instances of uncomfortable withdrawal “pangs” today.  Got through them all without any nicotine whatsoever.  Am so hungry on the days in which withdrawal symptoms are fierce.  Will allow it for the first week or so and then am hoping the weather clears up enough to get outside when the hunger sets in....

Rain, rain, rain and more rain is in the forecast.  Hopefully this will all lead to spring flowers.

Am not feeling so alone anymore.  Think cigs were making me unnecessarily depressed/anxious.  Hopefully that is the case and the nasties are on their way out.

I am a 55 year old health care professional and have considered myself a non smoker my entire adult life. I was a runner (and smoked), yogi, walker, exerciser, clean food advocate, etc. But smoked secretly anyway. It is the nicotine I’m addicted to, not the habit. Quitting nicotine makes me feel so uncomfortable and disoriented. Have used patches and lozenges. Patches kept me awake at night so became addicted to lozenges years ago when quitting. Am now back in the same predicament. Quit again today and am back on lozenges.
