No cigarettes today

So today I have had no cigarettes! I've noticed from wearing the patch my arms hurt like getting a flu shot in both my arms I've had to move the patch to my stomach I'm waiting for the gum I've ordered to get here so I can try that. I'm going to my mom's for Christmas for a week and she is a smoker so I'm nervous about that.! I hope I can hang in there I know she is going to need smokes so should I buy them for her or not considering all the times she has bought mine? My cravings are terrible. But I'm surviving one day at a time I just wish I had more smoke free time under my belt so I could be stronger in my quit. I still taste smoke when I think of a cigarette will that ever go away?
