Day 3 High

Went to end of year teacher party. It was Happy Hour. I debated all day as to whether a drink or two would be a trigger. I almost put it up on here as a question, but I KNEW I would KNOW when I got there.

I'm SO happy to report I was able to enjoy a couple drinks with my colleagues without any thought to smoking! Keep in mind, NONE of my colleagues do---and they even made snide comments about other people at this outdoor bar that were smoking. It hurt me a little to hear them speak that way about nicotine addicts. I didn't say anything today, but perhaps when I'm further along, I'll educate them a little.

In all honesty, it DID smell REALLY bad though!

I am a mom, a teacher AND a fitness instructor. It blows my mind that I used to smoke. It made me feel like a total and complete phony. I run and bike frequently. I am working on my swim. My speed and endurance are improving, but more importantly, I now feel truly connected to the world I'm part of and no longer pushing away.
