The Guilt

As a Christian, the guilt of smoking was overwhelming. I hid it from people who went to church with me or Bible study. I knew it was a sin and I knew that God never intended for me to have this addiction. The problem was my desire to smoke was stronger than my desire to obey God. I am on day 10 smoke free.

I grew up in Chicago but I have lived in Florida, Texas and now live in New Jersey, which is my least favorite but lived the longest. Before my two beautiful girls came along I was in marketing consulting but became a full time stay-at-home mom soon thereafter. They are now in their early twenties. After they went off to college I started a part time job in retail sales, something for myself. I also play tennis and practice yoga. I love the Lord Jesus Christ and try my best to live as he would have me live. I came to this site on 11/5/20, which is the first day I did not smoke.
