Give and get support around quitting

It has begun

It has begun. I am a nonsmoker. Carr says "yippeeee, I'm a nonsmoker." I will say that over and over today. I will remember there is no reason to smoke, none. I will remember the reasons not to smoke versus the reasons I thought I had for smoking. I will take this cold turkey and run with it. I will also continue to read Carr's book for the third time. I think it's the most important tool I have at the moment, not discounting my own decision. I will remain positive. I know there may come a moment, an hour, a day, a week, or whatever when I will want to smoke, and I will come here and scream instead.

I have no fear. I have little doubt and am working to erase that from my head. Why wait till October 1 when today is as good a day as any?

I'm a frickin quitter. Take that, tobacco industry!2017_09_23.PNG

Hi DonnaMarie‌! Congratulations on this beautiful quit you have going. Here's how to correct your quit date:

1.  click on the blue text label at the top right of the page,

2. You will link to a new page. Click on the word "change" next to your quit date on the right side of the page.

3. You will link to the next page. Click on "change" next to your quit date again, this time on the left side of the page.

4. Last page! Click inside the red box and change your date.

Great to have you as an EX!

I did correct it yesterday. I'm not sure why it's not showing for you. I'll try again!

I like your spirit!  Great attitude!  Yay!  No more nicotine!

You sound much like myself, and I am so happy for you that you have made the

positive decision to cut smoking out of your life!  My favorite chapter in Allen Carr's

book was called The Advantages of Being a Smoker!   There are none!  Just as it states!

Be ready for those withdrawals, and know how you are going to cope through them!

Welcome to EX!
