Happy hump day to our Exers that aren't retired or semi retired but are still working away each day. Well winter finally decided to show up here in the Maritime provinces but I believe that we are ready. Schools are running two hrs late this morning because of freezing rain, everything is a blanket of ice but the doors are all open to the schools. It's going to warm up and rain and then switch over to snow overnight and into tomorrow with a crap load of special weather statements already so I imagine school will be canceled tomorrow which means I will probably have Mason for the day so my daughter can sleep because she works the graveyard shift that is if she goes in tonight. Anyway enough of my rambling , enjoy your day everyone and if you are new or fairly new or just having a rough time with your quit, please remember that each day that you get through means that that's one more day without the crutch of cigarettes and after 2 or possibly 3 wks of withdrawal symptoms and cravings with ups and downs of roller coaster of mood swings, the days going to get better but you must give it some time , I know for me I smoked for 40 yrs so I did alot of reading on this site and read the blogs and prepared myself for quitting. I lurked around here for nearly 3 wks before I commented on something and I believe that it was Moody that suggested that I write a blog and tell a little bit about myself and explained to me how to do it, so I did and that was 506 splendiferous days ago. It wasn't easy by no means but it was definitely doable and remaining quit is absolutely doable as well, for me I chose to quit for my health, family and wallet but mostly because I want to be around to watch my grandchildren grow up and hopefully I quit in time to do that with only mild copd, that's my reason for always saying to be vigilant each and every day and protect our precious forever quits N.O.P.E and N.E.F , ,I never ever want to become complacent so every morning I reinforce my vigilance and know before my feet hit the floor that I will enjoy another smoke free day because life without cigarettes is absolutely wonderful.

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
