Give and get support around quitting

Love (d) To Smoke?

Many seem to think so before they've quit.

Will you be envious of smokers after you've quit?

Listen To What Peggy Said:

"Smokers Don't Get To Smoke,

They Have To Smoke."

I was envious at first, now I'm not.

Also at first I thought I'd go back if I thought I had a short time to live (weird, right?)

Now I know I would not, even then.

That's very interesting, AnnetteMM‌. I'm currently 17 days into my quit and still struggle from time to time. I guess you've truly quit when you know you wouldn't take up smoking again if you found out you only had a short time to live. Thank you, I'm going to add this to my list of things to look forward to 🙂

Let's not kid ourselves. We loved smoking! It was relaxing and cool to imitate Hollywood and tough guys.

Never mind the cost, the stink, the discolorations. Never even thought about health concerns. That's the way it was for me for 50 years. Addiction won for all that time. The bunch at QuitNet ganged up on me 20 years ago and helped me finish off my habit. You were there. Thank you.

Blessings.

We loved the nicotine for the dopamine.

Without the nicotine addiction, how many would have smoked and continued smoking for decades?
