Give and get support around quitting
I must MUST stop eating.
Folks brought in leftover Easter candy to share and there are literally bowls of goodies everywhere. I have snacked so much I feel a little ill - and there is no evidence of stopping soon.
It's just nicotine cravings turning into sugar cravings. I hate this part.
@PastTense Well I don't have anyone to bring me leftover candy, thank goodness. I bought myself a small fruit and nut egg, so that was it. Could you ask them not go bring it all to you? If it's there, I'm going eat it!
😊
Barb
Technically, they don't bring it TO me - I just "happen" to find it all!
I have strong cinnamon gum today; which will help. It's hard when you're not prepared for it.
Ack! That's a lot of cravings to overcome...hang in there!
Ack - indeed!!
How are you doing on your quit, Sassy Dragon? I assume the "S" stands for sassy.
Try carrying a water bottle with mint leaves with you. The mint makes it a bit sweet, and the water helps with the craves. Also try a bit of vigorous exercise (like a few jumping jacks), what your brain is looking for is dopamine.
Seriously? You think I'm gonna do jumping jacks in the middle of the office?
Absolutely, if it means not smoking. I do them at bus stops, why not the bathroom at work?
I am not going to make a fool of myself in public, for one.
I'm not going to make myself a sweaty mess, either.
But, hey; you do you.
And you do you, as well.
Have a wonderful smoke free day
