hello everybody! today is my quit day I learned to smoke lying in a hospital bed in 1965! I,ve been trying to quit for many yrs .try something last 2 or 3 days , than give up. my excuse was... I live in vegas, so yu smoke.. but finally figured out after 30 some yrs here that I don,t drink or gamble so why am I smoking? lol so............. my name is macho momma & I,m a drug addict. I,m addicted to nicotine (a drug) it,s been 4 hours & ok but thinking about it. gonna go walk & pay bills, get groceries, etc to keep busy. read in a homeopathic book that to help w urges to eat 1/2 an orange!! brushing yur teeth or eating an orange is the times yu really don,t want a smoke ha ha , so gonna try
day 2 . no real craving but body temp was high last nite, nite sweats & coughing consistantly weird but not going crazy like I thot I would!! (yet) or was this all in mind?
So...are there no more active EX quitters in their 60's besides me? Met a darling elder on a plane ride once. She told me "Age is a number and I'm unlisted"
Count me in. I quit last May, a month after my 60th birthday.
I turn 60 June 19th. Not sure thats a good thing, lol.....but will enjoy being in my 50's about a month more then I will post here
Hello again. It has been years since coming in here, but I got an e-mail reminder of this over 60's blog. I quit in 2009 and never touched them again. and next week I will be 68. One of my best moves ever. Good luck to all. Dex
Wow! Good for you Dex3! Thanks for stopping by to say hello!
Thanks for stopping by! I can only be a part of this group for less than a year so I thought I'd "reactivate" the group and enjoy it while I can
I am here and I am 68, I know of a few others but I am guessing they haven't seen this.
