Give and get support around quitting

Oct 1 quit date too

I'm so glad I found this site and happy there are so many other 10/1 quit dates. I'm 39 and in a year, I do not want to still be smoking. Quitting is not so much just something I want but something I HAVE to do. Triggers are one thing but w/d is worse. After 7 hrs I find it impossible. I'm going to start with the lozenge or gum therapy and not cold turkey! But I'm also jumping ahead in the future and afraid I won't be able to remain a non, ex smoker for good.

Don't think of them as withdrawls, instead, think of them as Symptoms of Recovery. You have to believe in yourself and that you can quit and you will be able to do it. Try making a list of reasons why you want to quit. You will be surprised at how many reasons you actually come up with.
