Yes everyone can see the archived profiles. They are just a copy of the former profiles from Elgg as best we could extract. It was a special request that they don't normally do but we knew it was important to members.

Because they're a blog they don't show up on the home page like other things do when there are comments on them. They will show up on the the Content page when sorted by last activity and the All Activity page.  If you're subscribed to the member you will also see them in notification and My EX Feed.
