That's why I love this site!!  Connections.  Feeling valued.  Sharing stories.  Supporting each other.  But, I have a confession to make.  No laughter, please, and no judgment.

I don't know some of your names.  Your user name, yes.  But your given name, no.  Does it matter? You don't have to share that and some choose not to.  That's ok.  I can call you @kath2092bid.  I can call you @momanddadsmoketoo.  But sometimes it's nice to say, "Hi, Nancy!"  or "Wonderful news, Terry!"  or "How you feeling, Larry?"

So, I'll start.  My name is Sheri.  Dancingthrulife is my user ID because at that time, a friend told me that it looked like I was dancing though life.  

How did you chose you user name?  If you want to share, what's your first name?  And you can even share something about yourself if you want to.

I've been called a lot of names in my life lol ....nicknames for sports , nicknames by my siblings  , nickname in school and Maki was not one of them lol .

I wanted something different rather than my given name or nicknames and I liked Maki so Maki it was . 

My real name I'll keep secret .. maybe one day we will all meet and I'll give the big reveal . 

A name says a lot about a person . I can tell you my name was a very common first name back in the fifties and hasn't  resurfaced in popular baby names list since  and it's a beautiful name .

Well you can call me Chris, or you can call me Chrissie, or Christine, or Christina or Tina.

My family used to call me Chrissie, and Brian did too, now mostly I'm known as Chris.

The 13 in my name, is because 13 is a lucky number for me instead of unlucky like Friday the 13th.

Actually Friday the 13th was a lucky day for me, because after a nervous breakdown, I was starting to come out 

of the fog, and I realized it was supposed to be unlucky for most on that calendar in the hospital.  I said right there and then from now on this is my lucky day.

Chrissie is lovely but so is Chris!  And I had a wonderful child in my life named Tina so that name means a lot to me!!  I like that you aren't afraid of Friday the 13th.  Going against the norm is often a sign of brilliance   Good for you, Chris!!  Glad you are here.

My full first name is Janet but everyone except one friend has always called me Jan. She told me the reason she won't call me Jan is because she doesn't like the name. Can you imagine refusing to not call someone by their name because you don't like it?
