did anybody take bopropion to help them quit i would like some feed back on this med. just recieved it and going to start taking it soon  i hear a lot of bad things about it and wonder if there are any positive things about it thanks.......Ron

Hi Ron.   I don't know that much about bupropion (same as Wellbutrin) for quitting smoking.       I used Chantix and it was great.    A few days after starting I didn't really  feel like smoking, they didn't taste the same.     I had wild and crazy dreams but that didn't bother me.     

Go online and check out this med you're on.    Use a reputable site like WebMD or Mayo.   Hope it works for you.

I took Welbutrin - same med - different name. I did fine. I believe it helped - but, even more of a help was doing the reading to prepare ( a MUST - to know as much as you can about this addiction - read the free course at - http://quitsmokingonline.com/ and Carr's "Easy Way to Stop Smoking" -http://media.wix.com/ugd/74fa87_2010cc5496521431188f905b7234a829.pdf) - and the other thing is this site. 

I took the medication for 3 weeks and then my doctor said okay to a change to half the dose. I took that for another 9 weeks.
