Valerian Root?

I have heard that valerian root can help to quell withdrawal symptoms associated with nicotine. I wonder if this is true. I have used valerian root in the past, and the only thing I remember is the overwhelmingly nasty smell. Could it actually be effective, and if so, can the dirty feet smell be ignored long enough for the useful effects to be felt?

It does smell!!! It helps to calm you if you feel anxiety from the quit also helps if you have trouble sleeping. Just don't take to much during the day or you'll be a zombie, the minimum dose should be fine. Good luck and don't forget to plug you nose:D

Thank you for sharing this information with me. I am so determined to do this that I have a hard time caring about what something will smell like. I just keep reminding myself how awful cigarettes smell.
