Only had 3 cigs yesterday and one so far today. Hoping to have only 1 more today and only 1 tomorrow. Fingers crossed

The most important thing you can do right now is to educate yourself on what nicotine does to your body and mind. To that end, I highly recommend Allen Carr's “The Easy Way to Stop Smoking.” This is an easy and entertaining read. Here is a link to a free PDF version of it:

As well, read the sections on this site, and read the blogs, responses and pages of folks you think might be helpful. You might visit whyquit.com and quitsmokingonline.com for the good information contained there. 

Once you have completed the readings, you can make an informed decision about which quit aid, if any, to use.  You should make a list of your reasons for quitting and one of distracting activities you think will work for you and keep these with you to reinforce your decision and help you through any craves.

Once you have done all this, you can approach your quit date with a plan in place!

Stay close to us here; ask questions as you have them and for support when you need it. We will be with you every step of the way.

Pay attention to the elders... I have only been on here for four days, my quit day is 03 Oct. and I think I would totally quit being a quitter if it weren't for following their advice!!
