so...here's the story. a year ago my back went out, my cat died & found I was moving to Texas all in the same week. not a high point, believe me. so between prepping the house for sale, finding my son his first apartment (he was about to graduate from high school) & all the stupid stress, started smoking again. it's always some excuse, isn't it?
fast forward a year and a half later and I gotta quit smoking. it just feels like it's time. lost my job a couple weeks ago, right after finding out I have a thyroid condition that has sent my blood pressure & heart-rate through the roof & made every-day a sweaty-day (it's SOOOO uncomfortable!). haven't seen my son since December, the Pacific since last July and figured "hey. what the hell! might be a good time to quit smoking. got a little swimming pool to exercise & keep cool in." it may sound silly but it works for me. hate going anywhere lately 'cause I feel pretty exhausted most the time & it's just so damn hot out. so no real triggers to speak of now. getting new smokes really doesn't seem like it's worth the effort. doctor gave me a couple months of Wellbutrin ER (have used it successfully in the past). damn! some noise-makers & a cake and this could be a real party. no beer, tho. we all know how drinking is the gateway to smoking & all that other evil stuff. bummer!

so...this is it. when I get up in the morning, I'll be a NON-smoker.
pretty cool, huh?
