Right now, in my body, 12 hours after stopping, my blood oxygen saturation has become normal, and nicotine levels in the bloodstream are a twentieth of their levels as a smoker. This, however small, is progress. Every day is one day healthier. I know the worst is yet to come, and I can feel myself bracing for it already. Day three was the worst last time, but I've gotten through it before and I can do it again. day four is much better than day three. It was when i began to feel like myself again. Like myself as a non smoker. I am counting the steps, each in their own time, as i make my way across this. I am a non smoker now.
