Ok.  Believe me.  I am glad I quit smoking in December--however; all of this negative medical things have happened.  First, I begin to gain weight (also associated with menopause), then I develop some strange virus which robs me of all of my strength and motivation.  Then, I am diagnosed with a vitamin D deffinciency, not uncommon.  Then I am diagnosed with high cholesterol.  Great!  Start medication.  Then have unexplained bleeding post menapausal.  Now I have to go for a hysterocaplsy.  Sometimes I wonder if I just shouldn't have stopped smoking.  Plus my blood pressure is up.  What the heck!  Maybe I'm not so glad I quit smoking.  I'm getting quite tired of being 49!

I started reading your post and was wondering if you were about 50? The last line gave the answer. So much happens around age 50. Maybe because the Dr.s send you for more test.  Smoking will only ADD to your health problems. How many days quit are you? You are at least 4 months. Pat yourself on the back. You have done a very hard thing. Please stay quit and come to this site for support.

I know what you mean, I have never felt more crappy, but it all settles down, and smoking might of just hid somethings, and also all the chemicals that are in cigs, it is a detox also, i have been told that it could take 9 months for everything to be out of your body.   so hang in there, all will settle down, stay strong.
