hey everyone, I decided to change my quit date to 01/11/08, have been doing a lot of cutting back, taking chantix and i am tired of playing around. I ready to do this. I am a little disappointed that I havent heard from anyone but Johnny once since jan 5th. I have been getting a lot of correspondence at the Thrive Community

Hi Bryan, I'm sorry I haven't contacted you, sometimes I don't see all the posts since I'm not here every day...anyway congratulations on your decision to quit...I also quit using Chantix, it was the best decision I've ever made...I tried to quit so many times but this time, 7 months ago, was that last one...I feel so much better...
Good Luck to you, I know you will soon be a non smoker, please let me know if I can help you in any way.,....

Good for you Bryan. Drop those nasty things for the last time. I'm on day 2 and my sense of smell and taste are starting to come back... man, what I have been missing all this time and didn't know it.

Bryan, I also took Chantix. I decided to taper off early. I am only taking 1/2 pill every other day now. Despite some irritability and some nausea, I made it though my first week. I also did the same thing. I made my quit date sooner because I ran out of cigarettes and did not feel like messing with it anymore. Good luck to you. We are all here to help.
One week, one day, 23 hours, 46 minutes and 4 seconds. 269 cigarettes not smoked, saving $47.20. Life saved: 22 hours, 25 minutes.

467 days ago I had my last cigarette thanks to Chantix. I also was surprised that it worked because in the beginning I didn't notice any difference at all. You CAN do this! It is so wonderful being QUIT!

Good for you Bryan!!! Chantix is probable the best drug that Pfizer ever came out with. I just had my 7th quit day yesterday so welcome to our club. It is great. I am sorry I never saw you here before. You can still take Chantix after you quit smoking...........you do know that, right???
Good job for your decision.
