sitting here and drinking a beer is my worst worst trigger, cravings are out full force!!! but im seeing how much i can handle ill beat this i will!! crazy how nicotine f*cks with ur mind and body

alcohol just lowers our resolve- it is dangerous if you are serious about quiting- like playing with matches- which i used to love to do BTW.

I liked testing the triggers.  Especially since I like to drink I didn't want to grab a cig after drinking and I haven't.  Got almost 43 days without a cigarette.

It's all in your mind! Just enjoy how much better your beer tastes. Hang in there.... "I'd rather be an ex-smoker with the occasional urge to smoke, than a smoker with a constant desire to stop!".

The urge will pass. Deep breathes. You can do this.... it gets easier everyday. Cheers!

        yea cheers to u, that was my worst fear to but i made it ,but i rem my 1st quit,8yrs ago, well i drank and then i smoked, funny how i thought i had it all under control, then agian, we are our worst enemy too, so just becareful, now 8 yrs later, smoked 40 yrs 2- 3 pks aday quit cold turkey 116 days ago, and i drink now and dont even think about it, what it reli is tho is the hand to mouth thing, like cin said, deep breathing and itll pass, :))

I have to agree with  the part about how nicotine messes with the mind and body. But I think once we beat it we will be glad we hung in there fighting. Dont focus too much on not smoking but focus on living!!! Enjoy your beer you can beat this. Have a wonderful smoke free day... Julie
