I have been reading up on how to stay quit and it said that the first 2 weeks are the hardest, but for me it seemed like I would never forrget about it I quess I was just sabatoging myself. I am still going strong but I have my moments I am sure we all do. I have been getting up earlier than what I usually do so that means more time on my hands, and for some reason I have been having really wierd dreams and I quit cold turkey, I could understand that if I was doing chantix but I am not has anybody else have these.

Yes !!! It's really hard at first. I had a lot of people here that helped me. I don't mind helping, if I can. When I had a craving, I would come here and read my message's or the blog's, write people. I would write a blog about how or what I was feeling, and I would get e-mail;'s with some help. The next thing I knew, my craving had passed. I think, we have to work on not thinking about smoking. If you keep thinking, I want to smoke, or I can't have a smoke, that's all you will think about. Try to find something to keep your mind and hand's busy. Plus, look at the money you have saved. I quit July 14th 2011, and have saved nearly $1000.00 !!!!         I will never go back to smoking !!!  If I can help, I don't mind, just message me. I had a lot of help from people here. YOU CAN DO THIS !!!!!

Just think of how long you smoked and how the habit was ingrained in everything you did.  I replaced the yearning thoughts with positive thoughts like I don't smoke anymore, I'm strong enough to do this, I won't be controlled by a substance, etc.  I didn't believe them at first but kept repeating them to myself until they became true.

The first few weeks can be a little tricky or very tricky for some people. The key is not to smoke and to keep going forward in your quit. Lots of changes are taking place in your body and in your brain as a result of eliminating, not only the nicotine but all the other toxins that are in cigarettes. Our bodies had to adjust to have all those poisons and now we have to adjust to not having them. This is a process and there will be ups and downs but over all it gets better and better. I have been having some very vivid dreams lately but this is not the appropriate forum to discuss their content. I will say that I refuse to be held responsible for the content of my dreams. You are making progress, keep going forward.
