It's hard I know, I live with a smoker. We both used to smoke in the house so I felt like because I quit it wasn't fair to ask him to go outside in the cold, it was December when I quit. Some of my close friends smoke too and I didn't want them to feel different around me so I always told everyone it didn't bother me, even if it did. Now, it doesn't bother me so much to see them smoke as I just don't want the second hand smoke, I've had enough. All I can say is try to hang in there until you can move.

I also live with a smoker and everyone that comes to my home smokes too, I have no one allowed to smoke in the house, but when we are on the porch everyone lights up; I know it is hard at first but try to pay no attention and move soon:)

In light of the fact that you are trying to quit.....have a chat with everyone who smokes, and ask them to smoke outside - or - remove yourself from the room when they light up. It will be difficult, as the smell of smoke tends to linger in a house, and on people who do light up. Thru the difficult times remember that you are moving out. Stay focused, keep moving forward, and never look back.

i know it's hard but just look at them and remember what a disgusting habit it is. i've only quit for 4 days so far but i can't wait until i'm really comfortable with it and i don't have to be a slave to cigarettes anymore. once you're smoke-free, you won't have to feel "ant-sy" in the middle of a long dinner or movie, or airplane flight, etc. i feel sorry for those who don't have the courage to quit and will continue to be prisoners to cigarettes 🙂 you just have to keep reinforcing the benefits of a fresher, healthier life
