Fear of failure is the very way that many people have become very successful. Trying may not be enough get your freedom back. You will need a decision that you really want to quit. You will need to make a commitment to that decision and you will need knowledge. Read and learn and understand all you can about nicotine addiction. With, your decision, your commitment, knowledge and the support you will get from everyone here you can be a non smoker. I applaud you for making this decision at a young age. You can do this.

i too am new to this site and learning the steps. I have found that everyone is so supportivem which really helps because they understand. I started with a quit date of 2/20 but moved it up to 2/1. My new motto is face your fears then do it anyway.

Check out the FREEDOM TRAIN - do you think those folks are worse off? Not even close! They have found new aspects of themselves that they never knew existed because it was hidden under the smoke cloud of Addiction!!!! They're having the best of themselves! The addictive voice talks fear because it's a way to keep you trapped in addiction - voluntarily! But you do have the POWER to choose FREEDOM!
