Get that word "slip" out of your vocabulary.

A slip is when you step on some ice and fall on your ass

You chose to smoke. You located them, pulled one out of the pack, put it in your mouth, put a lighter in your hand, flicked the lighter and inhaled. Thats a lot of frigging wrong choices dude.

and if you allow yourself to put one in your hand tomorrow you will smoke again.

is that so hard to understand?

keep them away from your face

The Chantix will help a lot.  I am totally pro chantix.  Also, keep blogging and keep reading.  We are all here to help you.  Good luck.

Chantix can't quit FOR YOU…only YOU can...They tell you the ‘quit drugs’ will somehow magically make this happen but the truth is YOU make a decision to not smoke and YOU  HONOR that decision every moment of every day…I am only in day 36 so what the hell do I know??????????????? I know that I have not smoked for 36 days…catch up if you can!!! xo

You can do this and we will help support your decision to quit. Come here often and blog, comment on others blogs, ask questions and most importantly, DON'T SMOKE! Drink plenty of water and take deep breaths.

The Chantix will help you fight the cravings but the quit is up to you. Make the commitment to no smoking for any reason and honor that commitment everyday.  When craves hit, distract yourself, drink water and  deep breathing.  List all your reasons for quitting and keep them in your pocket, read them instead of smoking.  You can do this and we will support you all the way.

I'm only on my 2nd day but water, breathing & mints are my go to tools for those major cravings.

We can choose Not to smoke every moment!

You can do this!!  First question; where did you get the cigarette??  For your quit day, there should be NO cigarettes available. That means if someone in your home smokes, you ask them to say NO even if you ask for one, and to please do not leave them laying around.

Decide not to smoke, and then honor that decision. The question can NOT be can you smoke or not. You've quit. PERIOD.  The question is what to do instead. There are going to be cravings, plan ahead of time what you will do. You have to kick the thought out of your head, "NO< i don't do that anymore" and then distract immediately. Knowing what you will do to distract your mind when the crave hits is important. Don't wait until it happens to try and figure it out.

Most importantly do the reading. I can not express how important the reading is. It will make this so much easier!  whyquit.com  quitsmokingonline.com   and Allen Carr's book. I would not have stayed quit if I hadn't read this book. Its free, here's the link.
