I am 43 yrs old. I have a 21 year old daughter who is very important to me. I have been in a relationship for three and half years and it has been rocky from the start to say the least. I do not have a big support system so I need some extra help. I cannot go back to smoking after I quit my life depends on it.
I have recently been sick with strep throat and was in the hospital. They did a CAT scan because my lymphnodes were so swollen. The CAT scan revealed part of the lungs as well and revealed some nodules on the lungs. The doctor came in and said, I would like to get another scan of just the lungs to make sure there is no cancer anywhere else. My daughter was there during all this. How does anyone respond to this its a shock to say the least. I look over at my daughter and the fear she is experiencing is devastating. She does not have anyone but me. My mother died of a stroke and my dad is just into himself. I went to the doctor so he could read the second Cat scan to me. He said, He doesnt think it is cancer yet but if I continue to smoke it will be. So he refers me to a lung specialist and with no insurance this sucks even more. This is kinda about me but more of what is going on with me.
