Hi everyone I am new to this. I slapped a patch on today not even knowing it was National smokeout day. Been trying to quit for years. How does this work? with the blogs and forums etc. I really need some support! thanks deb
OH Welcome Deb , I am HAPPY you have decided to Quit Smoking ... remember your doing it for your health . take control of your health and KITS the BUTTS aside :)...
Be Strong one minute at a time ..heres a great web page i used when i quit <whyquit.com I heard the stories
Congrats on taking one step closer to being done with such an awful habit/addiction. And what a great day to start! Not quite sure how it starts. I usually get on once a month post a blog about my past month(s) , read a bit then get off.
Another awesome site is http://forums.quitnet.com, I got an e-mail from them today (forgot I even had them and this is what it read)
My Stats: Your Quit Date is: 8/12/2010 11:00:00 PM
The best thing to do here is post your blogs as much as you need to and ask for advice. Read the blogs of other's and you will be inspired. I spend alot of time here. I am only 11 days into my quit. I have tried many times before but this support group is amazing. It will work for you!
Tomorrow is my quit date. I plan on visiting this site often to help get me through, especially in the beginning. There is a lot of good advice (and humor) and it's so nice to have such a support group. Good luck to you.
Congrats on deciding to quit! This place is great for support - so be sure to stick aorund. Read blogs here and I really liked - www.quitsmokingonline.com and Allen Carr's book - The Easy Way to Stop Smoking.
WELCOME!!! What a Great Day to find your way here!!! Something meant to be about that, huh? READ and Write out your thoughts on BLOGS! You can get to somebody's page by clicking their name or picture!!! You can join as many groups as you like so scan through them and find the ones you think are most useful to your journey!!! Build friendships and let folks know what is going on with you - you'll find out that we understand - we've most likely been there, too!!! Most important - Don't Smoke NO MATTER WHAT! And Never Quit the Quit!!!
Congrats!!!!!!!!! you've done the best thing you can ever do for you. Reading the blogs and encouraging others to stay quit , has helped me . I never want to come here and say i slipped!!! It really is easier with all this help. You'll be fine breathe deep
