This is almost sad to say, but, I have managed to go walking for the last couple days, taking a dog withh me each time.

But, I have this "motto" in my life, "if all else fails, throw 'em to the wolves". Basically, with mysef and others , I believe in giving a REASONABLE amount of time and support in learning something new, but once that REASONABLE time period has passed sometimes you just have to go all or nothing. The final proving point basically....I guess.

I may be pushing myself there REAL soon.

So, I am exasperated with the weight I have gained since quitting smoking, BUT I QUIT. (a.k.a. I LEARNED how to live life again without leaning on cigarettes and nicotine, and THAT took me getting to the "throw them to the wolves" part with myself,as you know if you have read my blogs).

So,   (yes, i know, i like saying "so".)    maybe.....it is time for me to get the the "wolves" part about my weight. It seems (as sadistic as this is) I have to go extreme if I am going to go anywhere. The endeavor of the day is to keep a hunting eye out for a second-hand copy of the INSANITY workout dvd set (as I CANNOT afford full price) or second choice Tapout XT workout dvd set.

I vow today, that I will WORKOUT when I get home, SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY. (I got plenty of WII games that I shoulod just use instead of trying to buy something else.....and Maybe, I will but I am still going to look for one of those extreme madness sets to come floating by)

wish me luck ex-ers, hope to be posting inappropriate flat ab pictures in the near future 😉

Please don't kill yourself!!  Didn't we all quit smoking to live a LONGER, HEALTHIER life??  LOL  I used to be 300LBS.  I understand the wanting to loose weight.  I lost a little over 100LBS then decided it was time to quit smoking!  Yes, I have gained a couple of pounds back.  BUT it is important to refocus (Yes, I'm doing this too) on the weight lose and to continue to a healthy weight, again to live a longer, healthier life, but in a HEALTHY and responsible way!  PLEASE, PLEASE don't over do it!  If you hurt yourself that could put your excercise clear back to not EVEN being able to walk!

Sorry I sound like a Mom, wait I am!  HAHA  But I do sincerely want you to meet ALL your goals.  CONGRATS on the QUIT!!

Congrats on quitting smoking but instead of Insanity you might just be dedicated to walking, maybe jogging and watching what you eat. You do need to increase your metabolism somehow but there are alternatives to Insanity. My kids have used P90X and Insanity for a brief time but you might need to change behaviors like walking an hour a day or going to a gym 3-4 times each week. Just keep moving, watching your food intake and your weight will adjust. The most important thing is that you quit smoking!

(insert sly smile) I did day one of insanity today! It's just the fit test but I DID IT and i didn't die. (actually quite full of energy right now compared to the rest of the day)

I am sure I will really want to say F THIS in a couple days BUT (I am full o' mottos this week).....my motto of the day (and hopefully at least the 60 days it takes to get through insanity) "You may want be ready to quit because you are exhausted, but aren't you more exhausted of being ready to quit."

Cool thing about INSANITY, IF you listen to what Shaun T. says, is FORM is everything. They don't want you to sacrifice FORM for REPS. Putting in 100% is key, but if you can ONLY push out 5 reps, in good form, and that is your absolute limit then you gave 100%. Once again, we will see what I hav to say about it in a few days but right now, I am excited. feel good. Wish me luck EX-ers, you have been great about everything.......

and for the moms out there, I solemnly swear that you have NOTHING to worry about. I have a former nurse for a mother, and a sister, and cousins, and EMT friends, and a fair knowledge of my body to boot, and I will not risk breaking my neck for reps either. I SWOMISE.
