I am 26 years old and have been smoking for 10 years. The reason I am wanting to quit smoking is because my husband and I are having infertility problems and I think it would be hypocritical of me to go to a fertility specialist when I'm still smoking. I also have a blood disorder, laymans term "thick blood". I should have quit a long time ago, but this addiction to nicotine was stronger than my want to be healthy.
I work at a drug/alcohol treatment center and I've used the excuse that I needed to continue smoking to bond with my patients who smoke. Justifying...There is no excuse or reason for me to continue to smoke.
