made it through day one again

worked to day got home about 11:45  I drove right by the gas station and didn't even have an urge to stop that was kinda weird usually I am trying to beat the clock and get to town before they close so I can get those smokes.  But tonight I wanted to get home and read the blogs  so I saved 5 today were going to go for 10 tomorrow. Today for some odd reason wasn't too bad. except I have been eating more today it was like being pg I ate macaroni and cheese and a bowl of raison brans for supper.  not that I could use it. I started gaining some weight before I tried this quit thing.I had started to make my self eat because I was getting too skinny . I had gained 8 lbs in the last month or two from 104 to 112 . but I usually don't eat during the day.   So I'm just a skinny minny. If I feel that I had gain too much I would just not eat for a day just supper in the evening. Well enough of that you guys probably don't want to hear a skinny minny talk about  gaining or losing weight.  So anyways it was a good day.

From one skinny minny to another, I hear you..I eat m&m's all day and have gained weight..  No scales here so I do ;not know how much weight and I really do not care how much...  It is better than smoking..,.Shirley

Hey skinny-minny!  I used to be like that.  Not now.  But I digress.  What I wanted to say was I'd suggest eating regular meals the first few days.  At least something during the day.   This is because cigs raised our blood sugar.  And when we quit, our blood sugar is a little low the first few days.  You may experience this as a craving & want to smoke because of it.  None of us want that.  Go to www.whyquit.com for more info.  Good-luck on your quit!  Stay strong.
