hi Barb,
congratulations! saying no more is the first step. you do not need cigarettes. it will be hard, but well worth it.
if you drink lots of water the nicotene will be flushed out of your system quicker.
i know you can do it.

Hi Barb,
Mandy is right about the water...It really does help, so does fruit juice. Keep saying no to yourself. Remeber the saying, "Anything worth having, you have to work for".
We all wished there had been a miracle drug to take, but in three days, you will have all the nicotine our of your system.
Think of all the reason you want to quit when you have a crave. Think of how much money you will save by not smoking.
Join some groups here. Try to make a daily pledge not to smoke for 24 hours"that's a group". take deep breaths and you will make it.
You will make it if you want it enough, if you have enough determination.
We are all here to support you in any way we can.
You just keep screaming out when you have a crave and someone will come to your rescue...but try you best to breath in deep through your nose, exhale through your mouth. Good girl, You will make it!

It is hard and the cravings can seem impossible to overcome but you know deep down you can do this if you put your mind to it. Not only that you know it's worth it to quit for your health's sake. Get a plan together, choose your day to quit and follow your plan. I used, and still do at times, a Vicks inhaler to help me with the cravings. When I feel like I just have to have a smoke I pull out the inhaler and that helps get me through the hard part. For some reason the smell of Vicks helps me calm down. Some people use hard candy, drink water, chew gum, or whatever it is that helps your through the tough part. Let us know how we can help.

You're absolutely right. It is hard, but this is where you find out that you've got alot more strength than you realize you had. Stay busy, focus on something else when you get a craving and keep telling yourself that you're going to be successful at this, because you are. I believe in you and you deserve the happiness and freedom. You're doing great!
