and i have to say, i am feeling really good!  because i had quit for 6years, it was easy to slip back into my "non-smoking" persona...i guess i mean to say that i don't feel uncomfortable "not smoking".  i think it was because i have been here before.....like slipping on a old, comfortable pair of jeans!

don't get me wrong, i had a bitch of a time getting started, and getting through the first 2-4 days! but once i got here, it felt right!

all i want to convey is yes, it can be done and yes, it can be done for ever!!  keep up the good work all you quitters! and for those you haven't started the quit, don't be scared, come on board! it feels GREAT!!! g-d bless!!!

Hey Mikki,

Sounds like you are doing great. After having quit for six years, seven days probably doesn't seem like much, but congrats on one week smoke-free! Keep it up. You can do it.

I know what you mean about the past quit helping the present one. I'd quit for over three years. And yeah, I'm sorry I started up again, and yeah, it was a bitch getting started this time, but like you the nonsmoking life feels familiar. I'm two weeks in.
