well i hope this is my last time of landing in the hospital i have been there 3 times twise because of the COPD and once because of congestive heart failer so i sure hope i've learned something from all of this. i know i want to quit smoking and so does danny too. he was also in the hospital with phonnia so this is it for us. our new date is the 10th of this month. i know we can do it we're not going to tell each other whenever we want a smoke which should help. now i need a buddy that has time to be here on the computer off and on during the daytime and evenings.

i can just hear the conversation.

"honey, i want a cigarette"

"me too." "Do you want to go buy a pack or shall I?"

i can understand why the "talk up the cigarette, smoke to quit" method didn't work.

don't keep any around and neither of you can smoke.

Hi Kathleen...ALL of us are your quit buddies around the clock...This time you need to CHOOSE to stop smoking, HONOR that decision everyday and persevere, NO MATTER WHAT!!!          ALSO, READ this time! Reading and preparing for your quit will help tremendously.....In your case, start with quitsmokingonline.com.....STUDY it Kathleen! This is your life and Danny's life too...

The most IMPORTANT thing you can do for your quit now is to educate yourself about the addiction and the mind games it plays on us....READ,READ,READ for a successful quit...the more you read, the EASIER it is...

CHOOSE to quit smoking, not try. Educate yourself by reading these links to the materials that most of us have used to help us quit and STAY quit! This is about making a DECISION to never put another cigarette in your mouth, mean it, and be committed to follow through on that decision. Also allow NO excuses AND hang in there for as long as it takes, no matter how uncomfortable you become.... This is about re-learning your life WITHOUT cigarettes....start changing your "normal" routine....because a smoker's routine revolves around cigarettes. You will be a nonsmoker so change how you start your morning so it doesn't revolve around cigarette breaks, etc. You CAN do this! ....http://digg.com/newsbar/topnews/Allen_Carr_s_Easy_Way_To_Stop_Smoking_Download_free_PDF
