I am not giving in to the demon.  How do I stop all this crying.  Thousands of tears and I can't stop and I am very angry at myself for feeling like this. I am holding my bilble to my chest and rocking back and forth.  This addiction is so mean.  I hope I get through this day.

crying is normal alot of people cry , try taking some showers through the day, brushin gyour teeth, holdin g your bible, cleaning, get busy walk, resolve not to smoke, you can do it, get some nrt s if you need some gum and patches, if you can afford to smoke you can afford some nrt, do whatever it takes to not smoke.

one minute at a time, grieving the loss of a friend is what is going on, but your friend wants to kill you.

just don't moke, hang on in there, not one puff ,

I love you brenda ,it's hard the first month but you can do it,

Hang in there.  You know that you CAN make it.  It's just the drug withdrawal.  How about a nice tub bath with some soothing music.  Get the music working for you.   This quit is your quit... now sign along...this quit is my quit.

Breath and focus on why you decided to quit.  Breath, drink water.  I know the first few days without the nicotine are hard but If you want it you can make it thru.  Then you can do what I did...............I slept alot the first few days off the nicotine.  YOU CAN do this!  YOU ARE STRONG!  YOU CAN QUIT!  Hang in there.........

Scream.  Throw stuff.  Get a big pillow an sock it.  Play loud music like Phil Collins' "I don't care anymore" and sing along at the top of your lungs.  Eat a cookie.  Eat a whole pie.  Whirl like a dervish and pretend you are a Tasmanian devil.  Write a dirty limerick and recite it to yourself in the mirror.  Curse the gods.  Pop ballons or bubble wrap.  Video tape it all and re-watch it.

Just please don't smoke.  If you do, smoking wins.

Good Morning Brenda.  ..Simple, but maybe not easy,  so very  much worth the aggravation in the early days.  You know this stuff as good as any of us and we all want it for you. Emotional turmoil is part of the process and you will survive it.  Smoking now will not do any good for you.  Crying is not a bad thing.  Just turn lose of the anger, there is no reason to be angry because of the way you feel.  You are in the throes of bucking an addiction and it takes something out of you.  You must remember that what you are experiencing at this time is healing, and it will get better.    Big Hug

Just let it rip.  I also find myself tearing up a lot and It's been a month since I quit.  I stopped trying to figure it out and just let go.  Deep breathing helps me a lot.  Also like to turn on the music and jump around.  It helps to calm me down.

I cried and cired all day last Saturday and I have to say it felt really good to get that out. It's the feelings we've been holding down with cigarettes for so many years. Someone suggested to me to treat myself like I had a really bad cold or the flu...it helped me. I just lay down and cried and slept and got on Ex. I also went to the gym in the afternoon as I can't smoke there and the exercise raises your endorphin levels, which helps with depression. I'm on Day 5. The people on here who have time, say it will get better if we hang in there through the first few weeks....I believe them. WE CAN DO THIS 🙂
