if you didn't guess, i am on day 3 of being a non-smoker. day 2, while not a piece of cake, was a bit easier than day 1. i had to go "out on the [smokers'] landing" to take a quick, unexpected call at lunch and that didn't trigger me - i was more focused on my caller. good stuff. i also know that was a gift and i will not do that again as long as i have no sponsees in crisis...
my brother flew in from so. carolina to see my mom and he visited with us yesterday. i haven't seen him in over 2 years and it was a good visit - no sniping. no desire to smoke. mom had her PET scan yesterday and her MRI of the brain is this morning. she has "off" from visits tomorrow (tomorrow is another "3" for me -- my 3rd anniversary of continuous sobriety!!) and we go friday to get all the test results, staging, and treatment plan. i apologize if i am repeating, but this helps me tremendously, knowing i'm "putting it out there."
peaceful day, all. (i'm hoping i get at least 3 comments!!)
